Rama ModaliPresidentRama Modali is the founder and president of BioServe. Since BioServe's 1989 inception, Rama spearheaded our efforts to develop and provide advanced molecular biology services to pharmaceutical, academic and government institutions. With more than 30 years experience in molecular biology, Rama continues to guide BioServe's successful growth, international expansion and provision of cutting-edge scientific applications to enhance our customers' research. Prior to founding BioServe, Rama worked as a molecular biologist at the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute. He has over 32 peer reviewed research publications. |

Terri Lehman, Ph.D.Chief Technical OfficerDr. Lehman has served as BioServe's Chief Technical Officer since 1993. Terri is responsible for development and maintenance of all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all research work, as well as quality control across all products and services. Prior to BioServe, Terri worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute and National Institutes of Health. At these institutions she helped develop PCR and sequencing techniques to investigate point mutations in the p53 tumor suppressor gene and the ras protooncogene in a variety of human samples. Lehman received her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in the Department of Physiological Chemistry. |

Mike SeddonLaboratory DirectorMike Seddon joined BioServe in 1992 and is responsible for our lab operations. In this capacity, he oversees the implementation of SOPs, equipment maintenance, and scheduling of the projects. Mike is also responsible for converting a large number of BioServe's extraction and genotyping processes to high throughput formats. Prior to joining BioServe, Mike worked for 12 years at National Institutes of Health in the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis. During this time he has gained experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques. Seddon has a B.S. from The University of Maryland, and 24 years experience in molecular biology, tissue culture techniques, and protein biochemistry. |

Bob SkurlaVice President, Director of RNA ServicesAs one of the company co-founders, Bob Skurla has been with BioServe from day one back in 1989. Today, Bob serves as the Director of RNA Services, as well as plays an important role with special and custom project requests by our customers. Prior to joining BioServe, Bob worked for 7 years at the National Institutes of Health, both at the National Cancer Institute and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He graduated from East Carolina University in 1982 with a B.S. in biochemistry. |

Eric LangloisVice President of Business DevelopmentEric is directly responsible for growing BioServe's business relationships and sales pipeline, as well as managing its sales personnel. During Eric's time with BioServe he has lead the company to consecutive record breaking revenue years by managing the company's most lucrative accounts and closing many of the top deals including the largest in the 18 year history of BioServe. Eric has also been instrumental in signing two current co-marketing deals, as well as signing and managing several distribution agreements. Prior to joining BioServe, Eric was northeast territory sales manager for SeqWright, Inc. where he successfully established and increased sales and brand recognition throughout the territory and beyond. Part of Eric's role with SeqWright involved maintaining and increasing the Global Preferred Vendor status to Merck and all subsidiaries. Prior to SeqWright, Eric was northeast regional sales manager for Genomics Collaborative, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SeraCare Life Sciences, Inc. He also began his career as a laboratory research associate with Genomics Collaborative in 1999. Eric received a B.S. in biotechnology, with a concentration in biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. |
