Kevin Krenitsky, M.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Krenitsky is a highly respected 15-year veteran of the life sciences industry. He possesses a wealth of experience in building and managing global biotechnology operations as well as an impressive range of experience in diagnostics, pre-clinical and clinical pharma. Prior to joining BioServe, Dr. Krenitsky was the Chief Executive Officer of Parkway Clinical Laboratories, a clinical diagnostic lab providing comprehensive routine and esoteric testing. Prior to that he served as Senior Vice President and Division Head at SeraCare Life Sciences' Genomics Collaborative Division (GC) where he managed all worldwide pharmaceutical R&D collaborations. Before GCI was acquired by Seracare Life Sciences, Dr. Krenitsky acted as the company's Medical Director responsible for spearheading the development of GC's global network of five hundred-plus clinical sites on four continents. During his tenure at GC, Dr. Krenitsky was instrumental in developing several hundred agreements with dozens of major pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and diagnostic companies worldwide. Dr Krenitsky received his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College.

Ramakrishna V. Modali

President

Ramakrishna Modali is the Founder and President of BioServe Biotechnologies. Since BioServe's inception in 1989, Modali has striven to develop and provide advanced molecular biology services to pharmaceutical, academic and government institutions. With 30 years of experience in molecular biology, Modali continues to guide BioServe's successful growth, international expansion and apply cutting-edge science to overcome customers' genomics research challenges.

Prior to founding BioServe, Modali worked as a molecular biologist at the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute. He has over 32 peer reviewed research publications.

Teresa A. Lehman, Ph.D.

Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Lehman has served as BioServe's Chief Technical Officer since 1993. She is responsible for development and maintenance of all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all research work, as well as quality control across all products and services.

Prior to BioServe Lehman worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute and National Institutes of Health. At these institutions she helped develop PCR and sequencing techniques to investigate point mutations in the p53 tumor suppressor gene and the ras protooncogene in a variety of human samples. Lehman received her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in the Department of Physiological Chemistry.

Mike Seddon

Laboratory Director

Mike Seddon has been with BioServe since 1992 and is responsible for the company's laboratory operations. In this capacity, he oversees the implementation of SOPs, equipment maintenance, and scheduling of the projects. Seddon also was responsible for converting a large number of BioServe's extraction and genotyping processes to high throughput formats including DNA extractions, TaqMan analysis, PCR-RFLP analysis, and DNA sequencing. Prior to joining BioServe, Seddon worked for 12 years at National Institutes of Health in the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis. During this time he has gained experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques. Seddon has a B.S. from The University of Maryland, and 24 years experience in molecular biology, tissue culture techniques, and protein biochemistry.

Vipin Adhlakha

Director, Global Sales and Marketing

Vipin is responsible for growing BioServe's international sales and marketing footprint. Prior to joining BioServe, Vipin was Regional Sales Manager for Genomics Collaborative, a wholly owned division of SereCare Life Sciences, where he successfully established lucrative and strategic genomic and proteomic collaborations with GSK, NIH, Eli Lilly, Centocor, and other major biopharmaceutical companies for target identification and diagnostic discovery. Previously Vipin headed Eastern US sales for the Motorola/CodeLink's gene expression and genotyping microarrays business, and prior to that he worked for Agilent where he was responsible for application development and marketing of the BioAnalyzer, DNA/RNA analysis tool.

Vipin Adhlakha received his BS in Biology from Indiana University and his MS in Molecular Biology from Purdue University.

George Taylor, M.D.

Vice President of Medical Affairs

George Taylor, M.D. is BioServe's Vice President of Medical Affairs. For the past seven years, Dr. Taylor has been responsible for the collection of all human tissue, DNA and serum samples from across the US, Europe and Asia that currently comprise BioServe's Global Repository. In this role, Dr. Taylor oversees the designing of collaborative clinical genomics programs utilizing human biosamples for a variety of disease states, including oncology, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Taylor received his medical training at Jefferson Medical College and is a board certified Family Physician.
